Field Fire - Clayton Avenue

On September 21, 2005 at 1209 hrs the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a field fire in the area of Bunting's Garage on Clayton Avenue. Engine 76-1 was first out with Deputy Chief Bacon. Upon their arrival it was determined that their was a small area of fire in a cut corn field that was headed towards the woods. Next, Engine 76-2 with Asst. Chief Bryan Murray, followed by Brush 76-0. They were able to cut the fire off before it made access to the wooded area. The incident was placed under control at 1229 hrs.
