Brush Fire - Lazy Lagoon Road

On March 10, 2006 the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush fire in the area of Lazy Lagoon Road. Units arrived to find a large brush pile with extension into some of the surrounding wooded area. An extensive amount of time was used to control the extension of the fire, and obtain the use of a front end loader from the former Hardwood Mills to spread the brush pile out to prevent rekindles and a larger fire. Thanks to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company for providing a one engine cover up assignment while our units were controlling this fire.
