NEW 76 COMMAND IN-SERVICE - Frankford
Wednesday, January 21, 2009

On December 15, 2008 the members of Frankford Volunteer Fire Company Station 76 placed their new 2008 Chevrolet Suburban in service as 76 Command. This unit, designated as 76-8, replaces our previous command unit that was destroyed in May when a tree was blown over onto the unit during a storm. The unit was built by Will Dryden, Dale White and their staff at Shore Emergency Equipment in Gumboro, DE while the graphics package was installed by Ad Art in Georgetown, DE. The unit has a LED light package, a Wil-Burt NightScan light tower, a custom command cabinet and center console, and is outfitted with dual radios for ease of communications. In addition, the unit is equipped with an AED, SCBA, forcible entry tools, a gas meter and a center console mounted computer system having a remote touch screen display installed in the command cabinet. We are very pleased with the work performed by Shore Emergency Equipment and delighted to have 76 Command back in service responding to Fire, Rescue and EMS calls in the district.
