"Change your Clock, Change Your Batteries" - Station 76

On March 13, 2011 members of the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company participated in the “Wake up Delaware” campaign. From the hours of 10:00a.m. Until 1:00p.m. members gave away, at no cost to recipients, 38 smoke detectors. . As a part of the “Change your clock, Change your batteries” program the community is reminded to change the batteries in the smoke detectors twice a year, and coordinate it with daylight savings time. Nine volt batteries were also made available for the community in need to change their batteries in working smoke detectors. The FVFC will again be participating in the “Wake up Delaware” campaign in the fall coordinating with the Town of Frankford’s “Fall Festival.” Please if you are in need of a working smoke detector and do not have other means of obtaining one stop by the firehouse at anytime to obtain one.
