Fatal MVC - 30000 Gum Road

On July 18, 2012 at 9:31PM the Frankford VFC and Dagsboro EMS were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Crash with unknown injuries. First arriving neighboring Roxana VFC Asst. Chief Chris Magee advised of a serious single vehicle incident involving one vehicle into a utility pole. Medic 105 & Medic 103 were sent to assist due to the severity of the incident. Fire Chief John Wright arrived and assumed command of the incident, and requested additional assistance from DELDOT to close Gum Road until DSP investigation could be completed. Once on scene paramedics confirmed that the victim injuries were fatal. The incident was placed under control at 9:47PM with units remaining on scene until 11:35.
